The second quarter of FY’20 or the second half of calendar year 2019 has begun today and with it some of you will be hit financially or at the same time can be eased a bit as prices of some products and services are lowering or increasing from today. Here is a list of all such services and products that become expensive or cheaper from today:
1.Passenger vehicles to become expensive:
With the implementation of new safety norms, players across the industry have been hiking price as the new procedure require fitment of various fitment attributes. And with this cost increase, burden is being passed on to buyers as higher prices of these vehicles.
2. Air travel to become expensive:
ASF will see a hike per passenger from today from Rs. 130 to Rs. 150 .For international flyers, the ASF has been increased from $3.25 to $4.85.
3. International travel to become dearer by 10%:
After the grounding of Jet Airways, the international trip will pinch your pocket more by atleast 10%. And as capacity crunch and peak travel season, flyers can see an escalation in price of air tickets of 20%.
4. Fees on Paytm transaction:
While the digital wallet company has refuted any such fee for carrying out digital transaction on the Paytm platform, there had been a report that the merchant discount rate charged by banks and card issuers will be passed on to end users.
What gets cheaper from today?
1.Home loan offering of SBI: The leading bank will provide home loans linked to repo rate from today. And this expected to affect one’s pocket less heavily in comparison to MCLR-pegged loans.
The bank in line with repo-rate cut by 25 basis point in the last MPC meet will also cut down interest rate on over draft and cash credit account customers with limit of more than Rs. 1 lakh.
2.Fund transfer via RTGS and NEFT to cost less: To promote digital transactions, the government has decided to waive off all fund transfer charges and asked the banks to pass the benefit to banking customers.
3.LPG cylinders to get cheaper by Rs. 100 in the National capital: “The price of non-subsidised LPG in Delhi will decrease by Rs 100.50/cylinder w.e.f. 1st July 2019 based on LPG Prices in international market and USD-rupee exchange rate,” IOC said in a press release.
